Dutch star player Estevana Polman was introduced into Arena Nord’s Wall Of Fame on Friday.
After the Dutch team’s training, 31-year-old Estevana Polman placed her handprint in soft clay – to the great delight of Arena Nord director, Per Malmberg, who can now count the Dutch handball star among the celebrities meeting the spectators in Arena Nord’s foyer.
On the Wall Of Fame, Estavana Polman is now in good company with names like Bryan Adams, Mike Love from The Beach Boys, and many more world stars.
Estavana Polman is well-known to Danish handball fans, having played several seasons in the top Danish handball league. Since December 2022, 31-year-old Estavana Polman has been playing for the Romanian club CS Rapid București, and she still showed her top-level skills in the Dutch team’s first match at the World Championships against Angola on Thursday evening. Here, Polman was the top scorer with seven goals in the Netherlands’ 41-26 victory. At the 2019 World Championships in Japan, where the Netherlands won gold, Estavana Polman was named the best player of the tournament.
