Welcome to Lidl as Official Fresh Food Partner

Lidl is a successful chain of grocery stores that operates around 12.000 stores in 31 countries, offering top-quality food and non-food products at the best price. As the Official Fresh Food Partner of the 26th IHF Women’s World Championship 2023, Lidl is emphasizing their position as a fresh food discounter. During the competition Lidl provides the players, referees and the media centre with fresh fruit and vegetables daily. In this way Lidl wants to draw attention to the benefits of an active and healthy lifestyle with fresh food – for competitive athletes and everyone else.

The history of Lidl in Handball

Lidl has been a partner of international handball events for men since 2017. The first involvement in women’s handball was the Women’s EHF EURO 2022. This year will be the first time for Lidl to become Official Fresh Food Partner of the IHF on the 26th Women’s World Championship 2023, what makes them the all-round partner for handball. Lidl will support all players in Denmark, Sweden, and Norway with Fresh Food that even meets the quality requirements of elite sportswomen. Part of the successful cooperation between Lidl and international handball tournaments is the ‘Lidl Freshness Lounge’, a money can’t buy experience, where selected visitors get the chance to experience the game in a Lidl branded lounge with an extraordinary view as well as Fresh Food.
