RedLocker offers free sanitary products

In collaboration with the Swedish company RedLocker, the IHF Women’s World Championship is happy to offer free menstrual products to both players and spectators in Norway and Sweden during the championship.

The IHF Women’s World Championship will be played in Denmark, Norway and Sweden from the 29th of November till the 17th December. RedLocker is one of several national suppliers to the championship, and their products will be available in DNB Arena in Stavanger and in Trondheim Spektrum in Trondheim, as well as Scandinavium in Gothenburg and Helsingborgs Arena in Helsingborg. In addition, all the participating players will receive a pack of products each, put together by the organizing committee, RedLocker and Scandic Hotels.

“This is a very positive initiative, which I gladly support. There are fewer and fewer taboos related to women’s health, and it’s important that we applaud and continue to contribute to a positive development,” says head coach of Norway’s national team, Thorir Hergeirsson.

“This is a collaboration that we are very proud of. It is fantastic for us to be a part of this initiative, which is in line with our sustainability work, our values and handball’s basis to be equal. It should be a matter of course to have free menstrual products during the championship,” says Hanna Fogelström, national team manager and former national team player.

“Having access to menstrual products is a right, not an added value. It means we are one step closer to a more equal world. Menstrual products are a basal need just like toilet paper,” says Liza Eriksson, founder and CEO at RedLocker.

“The fact that RedLocker is able to offer free menstrual products to handball fans and players during the Women’s World Championship feels both important and fun.”
